About Us
We have more than 40 combined years of  experience. Designing various types of country-style to victorian-style, gifts and toys is something we have always loved to do. We are a family of artisans who have worked and played together for years. We love to create and bring a smile.

Our years of crafting for shows and events, displaying our work led us to this place in time. Though we are new kids on the block, we aren't wet behind the ears as far as crafting goes. We have years of crafting unique and special items that have always proven to be pleasing to the recipients.

Visit our online store and enjoy browsing through our sweet line of gifts and toys. More handcrafted items coming regularly as our artisans are always designing new things. Every single thing we sell is handmade by someone we know well. WE only use the very best; Folks who put their heart and soul into their workmanship and love what they do; Our families.

Look for  free, tasty, downhome, recipes from Grandma's own Kitchen! We will be adding new ones when you least expect it.

Grandma!

Future artisans at Grandma's House!
Kids love handmade gifts, and my grandkids
are no different. They get so excited with
things that are old fashioned, homemade, and sweet. Even the boys who are into the hi-tech games and fun always respond with excitement. Hi-Tech is great in its element but it's nice to expose children to a simpler time when imagination was a kid's best friend.

Uncle Josh is the best help...a sweet fella with a heart of gold. He sands and primes and runs all kinds of errands for Grandma. Part of the "Love From Grandma's House" team, he is a valuable team member. Uncle Josh is involved in several stages of development in many of our wood products.www.lovefromgrandmashouse.com

From the conception of an idea, to the design,

Cutting templates, transferring to the material being used for the product, then on to its final completion, We work very hard to create useful, durable products then add our own special touch that gives  a sweet and pure country charm to any home.
Not everything we do is a new idea but when we build, stitch or construct anything, new or old, we put our own personal touch into it to make it a little different than the rest.

Have you ever thought about the smell of fresh cut lumber? It's one of those scents that only a woodworking crafter could appreciate. It reminds me of my PaPa Hellums and My mama.

PaPa was a master carpenter but he didn't just build houses. He made the neatest woodcrafted toys and toolboxes. I was always in awe of him and his talents. He could materialize his ideas, with what seemed to be, the greatest of ease, while maintaining quality workmanship.

Mama was the builder in our house. She got PaPa's talent. I learned so much from her and expanded my craft to further depths. My mama is the most special lady I think I know today, but my friend, Claudine, runs a close second. Mama could do anything with anything and she passed her abilities and talents on to all of her kids in different ways. Each of us has honed at least one of her talents into gifts we use today. Don't know that I will always be as good as mama but I sure want to try. This page is dedicate to her and Papa Hellums. Two of the most special people I have ever known.

Grandma's Dumb Blonde Brownies

No offense girls, I named them after me...
 Heat oven to 350*

1 box of your favorite cake mix
1/4 C butter (melted)
Add just water to make a thick batter

Spread into a brownie pan that you have sprayed with cooking spray or buttered or greased with something. LOL...

Bake in hot 350* oven until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in middle of brownies.

It is so easy to overbake these so be careful because, they could be used as a weapon if they are overbaked...for real...

I discovered this when I had no eggs and the hubby wanted cake, and we lived too far in the country to run in just for eggs. I tried it and the family was hooked. You can do almost anything with it. You can actually make a neat cookie dough by adding less water. Add nuts and white chocolate chips and yummeeeee....

From the idea, to the design, cutting templates, and the final product, we work hard to bring you charming, durable,  and useful products.
The funniest thing about this papa is that he
never realized his potential until he met Grandma. Behind every good woodworker is a slave-drivin' woman...with lots of ideas...LOL...Probably stays out there so he can't hear Grandma...
If that's the reason you will be sure to see a lot of new products on a regular basis at www.lovefromgrandmashouse.com

No..., this papa loves to work in his shop. Over the last 5 years, he has become quite an artisan himself, of course..., with tips from Grandma... What a trooper; Papa is a walking modern day Santa.
